Our clients have described living at Whiteley Wood House as a “joyous experience”. They love the beautiful grounds and told us about sitting on their balcony having a morning cup of tea as deer walk through the woods. The balcony and roof terrace were the main attraction, in the summer they get the sun all day and into the evening. They’ve had some great parties with family and friends over the 13 years they’ve lived here.
Within the apartment, they were blown away by the high ceilings and the tall windows that made it feel truly unique. The location was perfect as they said “we live in a very peaceful setting which offers access to country walks whilst having every convenience on its doorstep”.
Entering the apartment brings you to hallway, first on the right is the second bedroom, then the main bedroom with en suite and the family bathroom before the stunning open plan kitchen/dining/living room.
Bedroom two is a single bedroom with fitted wardrobes running down one wall. The main bedroom is a double with plenty of storage space provided by more fitted wardrobes. There is an en suite with a large shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. Next door is the family bathroom that was remodelled in 2023 to a contemporary finish. There is a bath with a shower above, a towel radiator, a vanity unit with a washbasin, plenty of storage space and a WC with a concealed cistern.
The open-plan kitchen/dining/living room is a beautiful, spacious room with high ceilings and light pouring in through the two double doors that lead to the south-facing balcony. There’s plenty of space for seating and a large dining table with room spare. The kitchen is a timeless Shaker style with an abundance or units above and below the granite worktop. In terms of appliances, there is an integrated electric oven/grill, microwave, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The balcony is a good size, it gets the sun from morning to evening and has jaw-dropping views over Whitely Woods.
Within the living area, there is a spiral staircase that leads to the sitting room that has been used as a guest bedroom and office in the past, there are double doors that open onto the roof terrace. The roof terrace is a fantastic space as there is room for a large outdoor table, a great spot for entertaining family and friends as it enjoys the sun all day.
